The bright fruit and elegant. Heightened citrus zest, crunchy nashi pear and ginger spice characters are joined by tropical fruit and cut straw notes on a nose and palate of wonderful complexity.

These limited release wines are produced from the Estate’s 1927 planted Marsanne vines – some of the oldest in the world. The fruit is harvested early at high natural acid levels. The clean juice is fermented at 11° to 15°C with the resultant wine ‘water’ white, flavourless and with high acid. The wine is bottled and then the magic happens.

Established in 1860, Tahbilk is an historic family-owned winery, renowned for their rare aged Marsanne. The estate has the world’s largest single holding of the varietal and produces Marsanne from vines established in 1927, which are among the oldest in the world. Tahbilk is known as ‘tabilk tabilk’ in the language of the Daungwurrung clans, which translates as the ‘place of many waterholes’. It perfectly describes this premium viticultural landscape, which is located in the Nagambie Lakes region of Central Victoria.
