The site is located at the heart of the commune's Premier Cru vineyard belt on the lower slopes of the Côte d'Or escarpment. The 2.4 hectare (six acre) vineyard lies at the base of a shallow geological depression, which runs west-to-east between the Les Longes and Les Mondes Rondes hillsides. It lies just under 1km (0.6 miles) northwest of the edge of Beaune town, on the southern side of the D970 road which runs through this slight break in the escarpment from Beaune towards Bouze-lès-Beaune.
