La Spinetta Il Nero di Casanova 2019

On the nose it expresses hints of blackberries, blueberries, and ripe cherries with slight spicy notes. Upon tasting it displays a full body with a very immersive character. The tannins are velvety and in perfect harmony with extraordinary freshness. The excellent acidity makes for a wonderful finish.
Vineyards within the municipality of (Casanova) and Sezzana vineyard. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled vats for an average period of 14-15 days. Malolactic fermentation done in used (2nd and 3rd passage) French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of aging. Finally, bottle-agedfor approximately 3 months.
It’s safe to say that this wine is the most representative wine from the Casanova estate. Its name ‘Nero’, derives from “vino nero” which is what Tuscan red wines were tradionally called.
