Brilliant garnet red colour, luminescent. The nose has hints of Mediterranean scrub, thyme, juniper and broom. The palate is harmonious, rich, with fruity hints and retronasal notes of “butun da preve”. A graceful wine.
Fontanafredda’s most historical and representative vineyard lies right at the heart of the Fontanafredda M.G.A. This wine is named after La Bella Rosina and it is no coincidence that this strip of land, rich in sand, limestone and blue marl typical of Serralunga, is reminiscent of the floral scents of the rose.
Fontanafredda was created in 1858 from the love story between the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Rosa Vercellana. They always been a community, united by respect for the land, and today we have 120 hectares of organic crops that frame Italy’s first storytelling village.
