Intense purple in colour with a violet hue. Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve captivates with aromas of red and black fruits accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and a bit of dill and cedar. The palate recalls ripe cherries and blueberries accompanied by chocolate and a bit of rosemary. This is a juicy wine with an ample and deep palate and fine-grained tannins that lend tremendous structure and persistence on the palate
KAI is the finest Carmenere wine produced by Viña Errázuriz from its estates in the Aconcagua Valley. It reflects the true expression of Carmenere, which is now considered to be Chile’s emblematic variety. KAI means “plant” in the language of the Mapuches, one of Chile’s original peoples.
Errazuriz has been making wine since 1870, beginning in the Aconcagua Valley. The family have always believed that great wine starts in the vineyard. 5th generation, Eduardo Chadwick has continued the mantra by establishing Seña and Viñedo Chadwick as international world class wines in addition to the time-honoured Errazuriz portfolio of wines.
