Vibrant pale green. Popping light florals with orange blossom undertones. Delicate lime and zesty pink grapefruit, with nuances of sweetness coating the acid line which leaves a generous, yet crisp and dry finish

The Ashmead family of Elderton Wines is extremely passionate about producing exemplary Riesling from Eden Valley. Their commitment to making dry Riesling has now lasted over 25 years and they believe it is the standout white grape from our appellation. The Eden Valley sub-appellation of the Barossa varies tremendously in climatic conditions and soils from that of the Barossa Valley floor. The climate is cooler and wetter and the soils tend to be skeletal and minerally, which is a major determinant in growing some of Australia’s, and indeed the world’s, best Riesling.

The second generation of Ashmeads and Elderton Co-Managing Directors, Allister and Cameron, as the current custodians of a rare piece of Barossa Valley viticultural heritage, continue their parents aspirations and expectations to produce a great wine of the world. The Command is truly an expression of place, and one of which the family intends to preserve for generations to come.
