Bright lemon gold in colour, this wine displays aromas of peach and white flowers. The palate is smooth and rounded with flavours of stone fruit and honey-like texture. This Saint-Véran is a full-bodied, fruity and fresh wine with crisp acidity and a long finish.

The Saint-Véran is sourced from the Perraud's own vineyards in the Mâconnais and the commune of Prissé. The distinctive clay and chalk soils give extra power and richness to the otherwise elegant, aromatic palate. The white-chalk pebbles absorb sun during the day and reflect it during the night to extend ripening.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were gently pressed in a penumatic press. The fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, using only indigenous yeasts. The wine went through malolactic conversion before ageing on fine lees for 12 months in tank, adding complexity and texture to the wine. The wine was lightly filtered before bottling.

In 2005, a 24-year-old Jean-Christophe Perraud founded Domaine Perraud and began making wine from his family's vineyards in and around Mâcon and Saint-Véran. Until then, the family had sold their fruit from these 30-hectares of vines to local co-operatives. Today, Jean-Christophe continues to nurture his family’s vines, recently driving a transition to organic viticulture, achieving certification from the 2024 vintage
