Bright, pale yellow in colour with aromas of exotic white peach, pineapple and nectarine. There are citrus notes on the palate that are enhanced by a lively acidity. This is a refreshing wine with a good weight and a lasting, clean finish.

The 70-hectare vineyard is spread across sunny south-facing slopes on the hills of Tenarèze, ensuring consistent ripening of the fruit as well as excellent drainage. The soils are clay and limestone and the vines are on average 30 years old. Unusually for this fertile region, lower yields are encouraged by pruning more severely, which in turn brings a greater concentration to the wine. The approach at Duffour Père et Fils is very much based on quality, rather than quantity.

After careful selection, the grapes were very gently pressed in a pneumatic press. Each varietal was fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and kept on the lees for a few months prior to blending, to add texture and complexity to the finished wine.

Owned by the Duffour family since 1955, Duffour Père et Fils is regarded as one of the best, most consistent estates in central Gascony. A passionate winemaker, Michel Duffour took over in 1973 and spent three decades crafting the estate's wines before passing his knowledge on to his son Nicolas in 2004.
