The Domaine Corsin's Pouilly-Fuissé ‘Vieilles Vignes’ displays a bright golden colour with a hint of green. Its subtle bouquet shows notes of woody-vanilla, that add to the sophisticated fullness of the palate, and is underlined by a generous toasted bread character.

The vineyards for this wine are situated around the villages of Fuissé and Solutré, and the hamlet of Pouilly at altitudes between 220 and 260 metres above sea level according to the vineyard plots. The vineyard benefits from an easterly exposure, the soils are composed of loam and limestone on the surface and complex clays underground. The vines are 55 years old and are planted at a density of 8,500 vines per hectare, two factors which control the yield and result in high concentration of flavour in the grapes.

Domaine Corsin has established an excellent reputation for making wines in Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé since 1864. They were among the first to label wines as Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon Blanc. Today, the domaine is in its fifth generation, run by Jean-Jacques and Gilles Corsin who own 13.6 hectares of Chardonnay.
