The wine is vivid ruby red in colour. It has vibrant aromas of dark plum, wild herbs and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is rich and complex, with soft but full tannins and a long, layered finish.

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape ‘Les Sinards’ Rouge is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The fruit is sourced predominantly from younger vines (under 15 years old), at Château de Beaucastel. The soil is limestone with a pebble top, which retains the daytime heat and aids the development of concentrated aromatics in the grapes. The remaining fruit comes from a plot adjacent to the ‘Clos du Château’ vineyard and is managed by the team at Château de Beaucastel.
