Cherry red colour with a medium-high layer. On the nose, notes of pepper, ripe red fruit and a high presence of toasted and spicy notes from its aging in the barrel. At the entrance of the mouth notable for its roundness, tannic concentration that gives it corpulence. The tannins are soft, conferring an unctuous and elegant mid palate. Long and persistent finish.

Jean Leon set sail for the USA as a stowaway from the French port of Le Havre. He was soon discovered by a sailor who looked kindly upon him and decided to help him stay hidden. Vinya Le Havre is a tribute to this unknown sailor, who would change Jean Leon's life forever.

Jean Leon wines were the precursors of what we now call Chateau or Single Vineyard wines. In 2008 the Jean Leon winery began applying organic farming methods and from the 2012 vintage onwards all of their wines have been labelled as certified organic. Jean Leon entrusted his legacy to the Torres family in 1994 and since then the winery has stayed true to the philosophy of its founder and kept fighting tirelessly for his dreams.
