Arguably Gevrey-Chambertin's most prestigious Premier Cru climat, Clos St Jacques is located on southeast-facing slopes with limestone-rich soils. Many argue that Clos St Jacques is of Grand Cru quality as its immediate neighbour is Les Cazetiers.
