The tasting is seductive: a nose of flowers and white fruits: acacia and pear; on the palate, the impression is fresh, pure, with a finish of citrus fruits: grapefruit and lemon.
In southern Burgundy, the important Mâcon-Villages Appellation covers over 3,000 hectares and is made up of 40 villages. Our Mâcon-Villages 'Mémoire du Terroir' comes partly from our Milly-Lamartine vineyards, which we supplement with carefully selected plots from the best clay-limestone terroirs of the Mâconnais. Their perfect knowledge of the Mâconnais vineyards enables them to produce this cuvée which is the Memory of its Terroir.
The Burrier family’s association with the vineyards of southern Burgundy, which extends over a period of 5 centuries and 7 generations, has established them as one of the region’s most distinguished producers. Today, they own 60 hectares of vineyards in Mâconnais and Beaujolais, making them one of the leading owners of vineyards in the region. The total vineyard area covered by the Joseph Burrier vineyards is comprised of several prominent estates including Domaine Joseph Burrier and the famous Château Beauregard, which was been run by the family for 7 generations since it was established in 1854.
