The young wine evokes white fruit (pear, peach...) and white flowers (acacia). The wine is fresh, mineral and balanced on the palate, with a touch of honey and grapefruit on the finish. As it ages, the aromas become more complex and dense, with a hint of butter, toast and dried fruit, and the unctuous taste of honey.
At the southernmost tip of Burgundy, the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation covers 800 ha, 194 of which will be classified as Premiers Crus from the 2020 vintage. The villages of Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson make up its exclusive production area, in an exceptional natural setting: the world-famous rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, Jurassic limestone spurs culminating at 495m and classified as a "Grand Site de France". In conversion to organic farming, Château de Beauregard's 19 hectares are spread over the 3 villages of Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson, making Pouilly-Fuissé Château de Beauregard highly representative of the appellation's typicity.
The Burrier family’s association with the vineyards of southern Burgundy, which extends over a period of 5 centuries and 7 generations, has established them as one of the region’s most distinguished producers. Today, they own 60 hectares of vineyards in Mâconnais and Beaujolais, making them one of the leading owners of vineyards in the region. The total vineyard area covered by the Joseph Burrier vineyards is comprised of several prominent estates including Domaine Joseph Burrier and the famous Château Beauregard, which was been run by the family for 7 generations since it was established in 1854.
