The nose displays aromas of tropical fruit and apple with a hint of white flowers. Well balanced and fresh, the palate has a bright vein of acidity complimented by a core of bright citrus and stone fruit flavours.

The fruit comes from vineyards in the region of Benevento situated at 400-600 metres above sea level. This location benefits from excellent sun exposure and cooling breezes from the nearby Bay of Naples . The soil is composed of three different elements: volcanic deposits, clay and limestone. Together these elements contribute freshness, power and bright acidity to the wine.

The grapes were carefully selected upon arrival at the winery. To preserve the natural aromatics, the must was immediately chilled and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at cool temperatures of 12-14°C. The wine remained in stainless-steel tanks until bottling, with some lees-stirring to add texture , seeing no oak to allow the pure fruit flavours to shine through

Vesevo is situated in the Irpinian hills of Campania. Known as the ‘Switzerland of the South’, this is now one of Italy’s most exciting wine producing areas. The vineyards are situated from 450 to 700 metres above sea level and are subject to a constant cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples. Over the centuries, this same breeze has blown volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius inland, to give the soil here a poor, volcanic character.
