A wine with a real sense of poise - concentrated yet restrained aromas of ripe pear, golden apple, a hint of tart greengage and finely-judged oak. It has breadth, richness, savour and complexity on the palate, balanced by firm acidity and salty mineral character. This can be enjoyed now, but it also will age gracefully.

Certified organic fruit is hand picked from two Biodynamic vineyards Raupo Creek and Noa. The producer tastes all Chardonnay barrels a year after vintage, selecting the best and most interesting to become the Reserve. These then spend another six months in old oak puncheons, gaining depth, complexity and integration.

Inspired by Michael Seresin’s own connections and interests, Seresin are a new world winery with an old world approach - they are in no hurry when it comes to making wines. They let the wild yeasts that live in the vineyard ferment the grape juice into wine. Working this way does take a little more time, but gets wines with added savouriness and with more mouth watering textures and flavours. They also show a unique sense of place. All wines spend time in barrel or bottle before release. Good things come to those who wait.
