The grapes come from the nearby \"Gabetto\" vineyard and an old vineyard in the Madonna locality which is in the nearby village of Carezzano in the Colli Tortonesi. There are marked diurnal temperature differences, as well as distinct seasonal differences, and one of the lowest rainfalls in Piedmont. Favorita was probably brought to Piemonte from Liguria, where it is known as Vermentino.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eUpon reception, the grapes were softly crushed and pressed. Although vines have always been planted at Castellania, a small village in south-eastern Piemonte, it was only when Marina’s son Francesco, along with his wife Anna, took over the property that they began bottling their own wine.
