Vergelegen Estate Premium Chardonnay 2020

The wine shows an attractive lemony yellow-green colour with a complex nose of citrus, peach, tropical fruit and mineral tones. Beautifully refined and elegant.

This Chardonnay is sourced from Vergelegen’s Korhaan, Rooiland, Rocklands, Slanghoek and Lower Schaapenberg vineyards. The 10th year that entirely Estate-grown grapes have been used in the making of the Premium Chardonnay. 100% of the grapes were barrel fermented.

Since 1700, Vergelegen (meaning “situated far away”) has been a historic estate in Somerset West, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Extending over 3000 hectares, from the banks of the Lourens River to the rock faces of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, Vergelegen is one of South’s Africa’s most prominent wineries. This is reflected by the fact its wines have earned more than 200 local and international awards since 1999 including the coveted Château Pichon Longueville.
