Chateau Senejac, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Medoc, 2012
Region: Medoc, Bordeaux, France
Bottle size: 75cl
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot
It has a deep red colour with garnet reflections. At first the nose is very open, precise with notes of black cherries and blackberries. After agitation, the nose takes all its fullness, with complex notes of red fruits, associated with the vanilla toast of the barrel. The palate is dense and opulent. The texture is very precise, thanks to very good quality tannins and a good management of our extractions during the vinification. Its powerful while remaining very elegant and expresses itself by a beautiful length, silky and well-melted tannins.
The soil of Château Sénéjac is located halfway between Margaux and Bordeaux, on the clayey-gravelly crest of the commune of Pian-Médoc. This soil is naturally poor in organic matter which favours the expression of the great Cabernet Sauvignon. The style of Château Sénéjac is intimately linked to its terroir. Our wines are of great aromatic finesse. The tannins are silky and very well blended. The wines can be drunk very young when charm and fruit dominate. They are also excellent when they age and present more evolved notes with incomparable aromas.
