Straw colored wine with yellow tints. On the nose it shows a subtle and complex amalgam of passion fruits, and hints of herbs, citrus fruits and guava making it very elegant. In the mouth it is fresh, sharp, with a very present acidity that gives way to a full aftertaste, which covers the entire mouth. It is an incomparable expression of Sauvignon Blanc from a new terroir such as Osorno.
The Osorno Valley at the northern end of Chilean Patagonia between the Bueno River and the Pacific Ocean, es home to an extraordinary terraced vineyard with volcanic soils. Carved into the northern foothills of the Cordillera de la Costa, it invites us to discover a distinctly original wine, offering the finest expression of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc we have encountered so far.
In 1979 the Torres family purchased 100 hectares of vineyard in Maquehua, San Francisco Norte and Cordillera, together with a winery in the Curicó Valley. Miguel Torres brought with him his family’s long tradition of wine-making and over 140 years of company history. The Chilean Central Valley has an ideal climate for top quality viticulture. This Phylloxera-free region is dominated by the presence of the Andes, their peaks crowned with permanent snow. The difference in temperatures between day and night provides the optimum conditions for development of the grapes and increases their ability to retain their finest aromas.
