The vineyard lies on the southern slopes of Penya Foradà and was planted in 1970 on sandy soils rich in iron, over fractured dolomitic limestone, a combination that contributes both concentration and mineral freshness to the finished wine.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe grapes were hand harvested and fermented as 100% whole bunches in concrete tanks using indigenous yeasts. Maceration lasted for approximately 28 days before the wine was gently pressed and transferred back to concrete for malolactic fermentation.
