The vineyards are over 50 years old and sit at high altitudes of up to 760 metres above sea level, meaning there are large temperature differences between day and night. This extends the growing seasons and helps to retain freshness and finesse in the wines. The soils here are a mix of sand and clay.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eAll grapes were machine harvested, then cold settled for 24 hours at 10ºC. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks for 10 days at 24ºC, with regular pump-overs performed. Malolactic conversion took place in tank. A portion of the wine (20%) was matured for three months in third-use 225-litre French oak barrels, with the rest (80%) remaining in stainless-steel tanks, followed by two months of ageing in bottle prior to release.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eFinca Flichman was founded in 1910 by Don Sami Flichman, who emigrated to Argentina from Łódz in Poland. He purchased property in Barrancas (southern Maipú) and planted vines on rocky, well-drained plots along the Mendoza River. It was Sami’s son Isaac who first began to make fine wine at the estate.
