Vibrant on the palate, with smooth tannins and a wonderfully refreshing acidity.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Garnacha comes from organically farmed vineyards at 550 to 750 metres above sea level. Cool nights at this elevation provide relief from the heat of the Yecla days. The vines are trellised and planted at a density of 1,600 vines per hectare. Soils are sandy limestone and the vines are on average 20 years old.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eUpon arrival at the Familia Castaño winery, the Garnacha bunches were destemmed and crushed. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 26-28ºC with gentle pumpovers and lasted for 15 days.
