The nose opens with subtle menthol and spicy notes which give way to aromas of morello cherry and blackcurrant. These same fruit aromas are found on the palate, combined with a concentrated and fresh attack. The powerful structure is supported by silky smooth tannins which give this wine its excellent balance.

The result of a symbiosis of three Bandol terroirs - Brûlat, Hermitage and the historic Romassan terroir. Domaines Ott uses a type of demanding viticulture that is specifically adapted to red wine production using methods that are sometimes unique in the AOC. The most representative is the bush training ("gobelet pruning") of the vines, on stakes and individually trellised. The vines then grow naturally upwards, creating shade for the clusters. Thus protected from too much exposure to the sun, the bunches will be fewer, smaller and well-balanced

Acquired by the Ott family in 1956, it took thirty years of hard work and experience for the old Château Romassan to produce great wines typical of the Bandol AOC appellation. Entirely replanted with noble grape varieties, its small plots were reorganised and levelled to create terraced vineyards. The superb 18th-century building overlooking the vineyard was also completely renovated.
