The family recently unearthed documents showing that one of their predecessors was born in 1629 in Monthélie, and worked in the fields for the monks of the Citeaux Abbaye. Today, the domaine is owned by brothers Claude and Antoine Changarnier and has been managed by the estimable Fabrice Groussin since 2015.
