On the nose, there are vivid notes of blackberry and wild berries. The soil is made up of clayey silt, key to the wine's peculiar light red colour. The vines are planted at a density of 3,300 vines per hectare.They are trained to a double curtain (GDC), and are suitable both for mechanical and manual pruning and picking.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were hand-sorted, crushed, and destemmed. The must was then chilled to 0°C to prevent spontaneous fermentation before being filtered and transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Selected yeasts were added and fermentation took place at low temperatures under pressure to retain the wine’s natural CO₂. After approximately 30 days, the wine was stabilised, fined, and prepared for bottling.

Lambrusco’s history is closely linked to the Chiarli family. In 1860 Cleto Chiarli founded Emilia-Romagna’s first wine-producing company, following the success of the homemade Lambrusco he served at his Modena restaurant ‘Osteria dell’Artigliere’. In 2001 Mauro and Anselmo Chiarli, Cleto’s great-grandsons and current company owners, decided to build a new winery under the founder’s name, Cleto Chiarli.

https://cletochiarli.com

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0506/5405/2509/files/CletoChiarliVecchiaModenaLambruscoSorbara.jpg?v=1789629915
