On the nose, exotic fruit explode, refined with vanilla aromas and notes of brioche. Ample and round, subtly perfumed on the palate revealling a delicious ending with hints of almond.
Located just next to the vineyard "Les Truffières", almost at the top of the hill, the vines "Les Chalumeaux" grow high up on limestone and marl soil with an ideal south-easterly exposure, catching as much sunlight as the day-time permits.
Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, perpetuating tradition for nearly 3 centuries and 9 generations. This desire to build up an exceptional estate in Côte d’Or endured through the generations and acquisitions in the best Villages were added throughout the 19th century and again in the early 20th century.
