Aromatic and nuanced, it opens with elderberries, dried herbs, pepper, and subtle violets, underpinned by crushed stone minerality. The full-bodied palate is supple yet structured, with upfront grip that softens into a poised, concentrated core. Notes of garrigue, smoked meat, and dark chocolate-covered berries add depth and intrigue. Tannins are well-tamed, offering a long, focused finish with a stony finesse.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"UTF-8\"\u003eTabuérniga is one of the four exceptional vineyards selected by Telmo and Pablo for their consistent, outstanding results. Neighbouring the acclaimed `Las Beatas` vineyard, this isolated 2.7-hectare plot is situated in a valley near the historic town of Labastida, on the northern edge of Rioja Alavesa. To honour more than 1,300 years of viticultural tradition, the old bush vines are cultivated using organic and biodynamic practices. They are planted on narrow terraces at around 600 metres above sea level with a field blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and other varietals. The steep slopes, with various exposures and deep limestone and clay soils result in an austere, yet harmonious, single-vineyard wine, that truly expresses its sense of place.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe grapes were hand-picked and transported in small boxes to the winery. The different grape varieties were co-fermented with indigenous yeasts in 30 hectolitres open-top oak vats.
