Rich, raspberry-jam nose. Ripe and packed with heady, sumptuously ripe red berries with liquorice and black pepper. Dried tarragon garrigue adds further interest. Deliciously satisfying texture on the cherry and menthol finish. This is delicious.
Altitude’s vineyard of clay and limestone is used to produce grapes for this characterful wine. The vineyard is currently converting to Organic cerification. After the grapes are received at the winery total de-stemming takes place followed by a maceration of 18 days. The Carignan is seperately vinified in carbonic maceration then blended with the other varietals and aged 12 months.
Two friends since school, set out to create a range of wines in their own image. Natives of Languedoc Roussillon, they want to shake the vines of their origine region by bringing a touch of originality and modernity to their cuvées. Created in 2018, they are part of an eco-conscious approach, more transparent and more sustainable. This commitment is evident from the vine to the bottle with organic cuvées or in conversion.
